Poppies plot

1986, British playwright Tony Hudson (Paul McGann) finally finds inspiration to write again after a long time. Hudson writes about the Battle of Somme (1916), in which his grandfather and two other relatives were killed. Gradually, for his idea, Hudson becomes more and more involved in the battle, an idea that is beginning to border on an obsession.
