Jazz lover Allie lives in downtown Manhattan. His father is never there and his mother is in the asylum. The boy wants to know more about life and what meaning it has and encounters some people on his journey. The insomniac Allie wanders these deserted New York streets and past dilapidated buildings, claiming to dream while awake.
