Paradesi plot

Film adaptation of Paul Harris Daniel's novel 'Red Tea' set in the 1940s, in the Madras district of British India. Rasa is a village boy who travels from village to village to bring the news. A local beauty, Angamma, has a soft spot for him, but the villagers forbid her to associate with him. To prove herself, Rasa decides to work on a tea plantation.
