Oude Tongen plot

The story is set in the village of Oude Tongen. A couple of doctors see a porn video and think they recognize a child from the village in it. The rumor that ensues takes on extremely grotesque forms. The village is overrun by journalists, psychiatrists, psychics and politicians. Anxiety turns into paranoia; derailing prejudice into smear campaigns. The scant factual evidence for the sexual abuse of innocent children cannot change that.
