If you ever wondered what went on after that 'happily ever after', well, something like that.

In the story, Chazz Palminteri is somewhat bored after thirty years or so of marital routine, but the film also comes across as if the actor Chazz Palminteri is bored—as if he hasn't had any roles in years, and now only one. And the same goes for Linda Fiorentino, and for her it actually fits quite well. Sidelined in both dimensions, rendered unimportant, and searching for what it's all about anymore.

The dismal production values of this lame little DTV only add to the problem—until I start to wonder if that isn't a bit too heavy-handed. Could the director have meant something by that, perhaps a sort of sarcastic message about the transience of fame? I can't quite figure it out.

Our Clorinda has clearly aged a few years since I first saw her—with her stunning performance in Vision Quest (1985). Just like all of us, but it suits her well. It is a shame she hasn't made any more films since this 'farewell', surely one of the most impressive actresses of that era.
