For some friends, the events of an extremely hot weekend have a major impact on their lives. Nick goes to the doctor for a routine checkup, but receives a terrible diagnosis. However, he has to wait until Monday before being told what can be done about it. Meryl returns from a funeral and has until Monday to complete an assignment or lose her job. Andy learns that his girlfriend is pregnant.
