"A duel at the border"
On his last day of work before his mandatory retirement, Marshall, the chief of immigration officers at the airport where he works, arrests a group of Latin Americans and exposes them to humiliating situations. Blinded by his prejudices, he causes the death of a young Brazilian. After a time in prison, the now critically ill Marshall visits Brazil as he seeks forgiveness for his act. In his search he is assisted by Bia, a young prostitute.
