Nirmalyam plot
A neglected Hindu temple is maintained by a Velichappad or oracle whose family has been associated with the temple for generations. The wife of the oracle of the temple, Narayani, struggles to run the household on the meager income they get from the temple. The oracle's son, Appu, is educated but unemployed. Because of this, he loses faith in the temple and the goddess.
