"I don't care what she is.... she's mine!"
Roderic 'Chuck' Nelson is a wealthy young man who travels to the southern United States. There, Chuck meets the irresistible Ginny O'Sullivan. He then marries her, Chuck is happily married, until his matriarchal and imperious mother Cornelia Nelson discovers that Ginny's grandparents are of African descent. Cornelia has since gone to great lengths, including a bitter battle with the court, to have her son's marriage annulled.

mother viciously tries to have her son's marriage annulled simply because the woman in question has black ancestors from 5 generations back.
The racism theme is very prominent in this film and that could have been a lot less to make it appear more realistic, despite a compelling story, I did not know Julie London as an actress yet, but she is a very beautiful appearance and also plays her role more than fine.
