Nacht Fiel über Gotenhafen plot

East Prussia, January 1945. Tens of thousands of Germans, mostly women and children, are on the run from the Red Army. Among them is the pregnant Maria (Sonja Ziemann). In Gotenhafen she manages to flee on the overcrowded hospital ship "Wilhelm Gustloff". But in the Baltic Sea, the enemy in the form of a submarine is lurking.
