Moy Laskovyy i Nezhnyy Zver plot
Sergei Kamyshev visits his old friend Count Karneyev, where he meets 16-year-old Olenka. He soon notices that all the men who live in the area are doing everything they can to elope with the young lady. To everyone's surprise, Olenka's engagement to the old real estate agent Urbenin is announced. Kamyshev soon notices that Olenka does not like this when she promises him her love. They start a passionate affair, which, however, takes a dramatic turn during a hunting trip.

Yes, the beautiful music of Eugen Doga makes it something special. The famous wedding waltz with the bride's tears is one of those Maxima moments. How the music drives up the emotion. Another highlight is the boat roller on Swan Lake. Emil Loteanu is certainly not averse to adding Roma musicians, the lãutari, in his films. But here it is really an added value.
