Money Matters plot

"Family can be complicated"

Monique "Money" Matters is trapped in her adolescence. The relationship with her mother Pamela is far from stable and there is constant conflict between mother and daughter. Money's daily outing consists of a bus commute to her Catholic school, in another world where she feels just as uncomfortable. When she befriends a girl from the neighborhood who seems to understand her, she develops a friendship where she discovers her limits.
