Mon Petit Diable plot

Joseph is a boy from a poor family who grows up on the former Portuguese island of Diu, just off the coast of India. His family ensures that he can go to a Catholic boarding school, but he does not like it there at all. He is homesick, constantly hungry because the poorer students get less to eat and finds it difficult to adapt.
