Two circus performers, Paula and Lorio, are forced to leave the circus and become buskers after Lorio has had an accident and is crippled. The couple sometimes performs with rich people and at one of those parties Paula is seduced by an aristocrat. She leaves her lover and becomes the rich man's mistress.
