Messalina plot

Messalina, the beautiful but horrifying wife of the Roman Emperor Claudius, wants to get rid of the weak Imperator. She wants her lover, Senator Caius Silvius, on that position. To achieve her goal, she concocts an oracle that predicts her husband's death. She manages to get her superstitious husband to "marry" Caius so that he will be afflicted. Too late, Messalina discovers that she too is the victim of a conspiracy.
