Merci pour le Geste plot

A vagabond roams the streets of Paris, remembering the time when other people noticed him before he became homeless and "invisible". Now he is just a "black hole in the city" for ordinary people. In the distant past, he was the partner of the owner of a promising small business. His wife Betty, twelve years his junior, loved him with all her heart, and admired his strength. She bore him a cute little daughter. Now, at 55, his life is in shambles, on the brink of collapse and is not missed by anyone. His only friend becomes a dog, who starts chasing him everywhere.
