Materinskoe Pole plot

A Kyrgyz soldier returns to his village after the war, but the sons of Tolongai have still not returned. She thinks back to her childhood, when the different tribes were at war with each other and she lost her parents. She wonders how she and her daughter-in-law will deal with the uncertainty of a possible loss as the village celebrates.
