Manhattan Cocktail plot
After graduating from high school, Babs Clark and Bob Marky leave their peaceful small-town life and head to New York in a bid to make it on Broadway. Mrs. Renov, the wife of a theater producer, likes Bob and gives him a part in one of her husband's shows. Renov discovers that his wife is unfaithful to him and quickly fires Bob. Renov then meets Babs and gives her a part on his show. Fred Tilden, Babs' high school sweetheart, comes to New York to visit her, and Mrs. Renov gives him all her attention and feigns interest in one of his plays.
