Magazine plot

Nora, who has just moved from Arizona, looks forward to starting her internship at the leading literary magazine *Platen*. Her duties include reading through numerous submissions, making coffee, and taking care of prominent guests at *Platen*’s many exclusive parties. Although snobbery and the mentioning of famous names prevail, Nora’s sense of alienation is tempered by her crush on deputy editor-in-chief Thomas, who, although only slightly older, seems to know everything about how to navigate these circles.
