During dinner, the Schenk family is visited by agents, who tell them that son Jakob is not in Spain as everyone thought, but has joined IS in Syria. It is a shock to the parents, who eventually manage to reach Jakob and even manage to get him back to Germany. But on his return, many are suspicious: did he return of his own free will and distance himself from the ideology of IS, or was he sent to his homeland by the terrorist organization as a so-called 'sleeper'?
