"Sometimes what you're looking for is closer than you think..."
There was never a man in the life of the young Josephine Alibrandi. Now, in senior year of high school, there are suddenly three. Josephine's father, who disappeared when her mother Christina was an unmarried pregnant teenager, is back in town and busy with Josephine's desire to go to law school. He is also romantically interested in Josephine. As well as Jacob Coote, a working-class boy, who can touch Josephine like no one else. Set against the backdrop of Sydney and its Italian-Australian community, this is a coming-of-age drama.
