Libera, Amore Mio! plot
After her father was exiled to an island off the coast of Italy because of his anti-Mussollini politics, Libera becomes increasingly disgusted by her country's fascist government and launches a number of daring and highly personal attacks against them. Initially this only results in the loss of her husband's job, but after a while she is permanently banished to the same island where her father was sent. She develops a deep admiration for a prisoner, but her strong sense of moral values prevents her from having an affair with him. Then the Second World War breaks out and the resistance against fascism becomes more active and better organized. Libera joins them and participates in a number of actions.
