Lian Lian Feng Chen plot
Wan and his childhood sweetheart Huen live in a provincial mining town. Due to lack of money, they stop their studies and move to Taipei in search of work. Wan finds work in a small printing house and Huen as a seamstress. In the city, Wan, Huen and their friends are confronted with the harsh realities of everyday life there. In their spare time, the young people drink together, sometimes interspersed with visits to their parents. One by one the boys are called up for military service and finally it is Wan's turn.
