Les Diseurs de Vérité plot

The satirical columns of the journalist Sahafi have prompted a number of attempts on his life. As a Speaker of Truth, he refuses to conform to the political intimidation of Islamic Jihad. When two pistols are pointed at his head in an alley, time in the film is stopped to alternately create a picture of the two worlds in which Sahafi may have lived. On the one hand, the threatened existence in his homeland as a journalist, where the totalitarian regime tries to silence intellectuals, journalists and artists. On the other hand, a life as an asylum seeker in the Netherlands, where he is confronted with the callous questioning of the officials and the endless waiting for the decision on his application.
