Le Torrent plot

1922. François is a young man who was raised as an illegitimate child by his violent mother Claudine. She always wanted him to become a priest, but he refuses to go to seminary. In response, she hits him on the head so hard that he goes deaf. From that moment on he can only hear the rustling of the woods.
