Le Palanquin des Larmes plot

A young woman, born in 1936 during the Second Sino-Japanese War, also experiences the civil war and witnesses the impressive arrival of Mao Zedong. At thirteen she is forced to marry and later becomes a widow. She starts playing the piano again, an instrument that she used to be able to handle flawlessly.
