Lamb plot
9-year-old Ephraim and his sheep Chuni are inseparable. The bond grows even stronger when Ephraim's mother dies and the boy seeks comfort from the lamb. When drought strikes their land, his father sends Ephraim and his lamb to relatives, where there are still green pastures. However, the boy is homesick. But then Ephraim's uncle orders Chuni to be slaughtered for the next holiday.
