One day Antonio Focaccia meets the young Maria who, besides being covered with hair from head to toe, is a normal woman. Antonio persuades her to travel with a cabinet of curiosities as 'the monkey woman'. It soon becomes apparent that she develops feelings for him. Just like 'The Elephant Man' based on a true story.
