"When you have lost a love, your love, you have to disappear, dissolve and become... the invisible woman"

A woman who notices that her husband is tired of her, but who is too inhibited to provoke him, turns to her friends for advice. One suggests an open marriage with slippers to keep up the tension, the other proposes himself for a ménage à trois. Her careful follow-up to those suggestions leads to new frustrations and a dramatic denouement.
