La Demora plot

María is a single mother. She lives with her three children and demented father Agustín in a sober apartment complex in Montevideo. María earns little from her work as a seamstress and has her hands full taking care of her father. She would like to be there more for her children and therefore tries to house her father elsewhere. However, her sister refuses to take over the care and at the elderly care she hears that she probably will not be able to pay for care with her income. In a fit of madness she leaves her father behind in a park, but that same evening she is overcome by a feeling of guilt and she goes in search of him.
