La Circostanza plot
"La Circostanza" is about a summer in the life of the family of a prosperous businessman and his wife. But there are threatening signs in his life: his company may fire him, his wife finds family life unsatisfactory and his son and daughter are now old enough to be independent and somewhat selfish. His wife takes care of a young traffic victim, his son finds solace in his inventions and in his wife and newborn child, and the young daughter (who despises her mother) finds solace in her newfound sense of romance.
