La Chasse aux Papillons plot
The film follows the last years of life of three old ladies - the owner, her niece and an old maidservant - in an old, dilapidated castle in France. They provide for their livelihood by selling the antique furniture piece by piece and by renting out the garden to cheerful followers of Hara Krishna. Initially, the women manage to rebuff Japanese businessmen who want to buy the castle. However, after the death of the owner, the renovation takes hold. The Russian heiress of the castle - a sister of the owner - prefers to live a mundane life with her daughter in Paris than in old dusty rooms in an old castle; she sells the heritage to happy Japanese. The old women left behind will have to find another shelter.
