L'Échappée Belle plot

A small group of artists waiting for a tour get stuck in their director’s house when their van breaks down. In this enclosed space where time seems to stretch out, life falls into place around the continuous rehearsals for the Chekhov play they have to perform. Inevitable questions about the meaning of life, the relationship between work and love, creep into the rhythm of the day. From escapades to unexpected encounters, the bonds are strengthened within the group, who celebrate life during an improvised performance and a joyfully boisterous birthday party, proving that the most beautiful utopias are built in the present.
