Köksüz plot
After her husband's unexpected death, Nurcan is left alone with her 32-year-old daughter Feride and her two much younger children, 17-year-old Ilker and young girl Ozge. Nurcan has fallen into a deep depression, she wallows in self-pity, develops a sickly cleaning mania and when she is not vacuuming, she is sprawled listlessly in front of the TV screen. The rebellious Ilker is in full puberty. He lacks a father figure: he skips school, disappears from home for days and experiments with weed.
