Kanojo to Kare plot

When her husband Eiichi becomes increasingly entangled in his life as a businessman, Naoko looks for ways to enrich her own life. She finds new interests, new love, and a better sense of her place in the world. A young nouveau riche housewife and former refugee from Manchuria, Naoko increasingly fascinates and cares for the ghostly figures of poverty and loneliness that pass her window. Such as the local ragpicker and the lost limping dog. The realization that she must take action reaches a climax when a fire destroys the slum near her recently built suburb.
