Jukti, Takko aar Gappo plot
Neelkantha is a alcoholic intellectual who is abandoned by his wife and child. He then embarks on a curious odyssey across war-torn Bengal in the hope of being able to reconcile with his wife. He is accompanied by an unemployed engineer, a young refugee from Bangladesh and a penniless Sanskrit teacher. Their journey brings them into contact with other members of the upper class, striking workers, exponents of classical Chau culture and a band of guerrilla fighters.
