Joutel plot

After finding a dead raccoon in his front yard, old man Gérard is upset with thoughts of his own demise. Jocelyne sees her husband grow in despair, who creates an obsession for the animal's body. His fear takes root in her own mind. After a night of torment, they decide to bury the raccoon on the land where their home once stood in Joutel, a former mining town that has been abandoned since 1998. When they get there, the boreal forest creeps up on the ruins of her former home, plunging Jocelyne into deep nostalgia.
