Joshua Tree, 1951: A Portrait of James Dean plot
Jimmy Dean (James Dean's nickname) is followed in this film through two important periods of his life, before he became the well-known icon of youth and rebellion. In 1949 he started studying at drama school. The decision would alienate him completely from his father. In addition, he begins to experiment with his sexuality and shares the bed with both men and women. In 1951, he and his roommate drive to the Joshua Tree desert in California. This man loves James and gives the latter a sense of security.
