Jiphaengja plot
Jae Kyung (Yoon Kye Sang) had no idea what awaited him when he became a guard in a prison. The iron-fisted guard, Jong Ho (Cho Jae Hyun), takes the newcomer under his wing. He teaches him to keep the prisoners under his thumb. Jong Ho views his captives in horror, and with time Jae Kyung grows tougher too. When the government decides to carry out executions, Jong Ho and Jae Kyung are the selected guards. However, Korea has not carried out a death penalty since 1997.
