Jimmy plot

Based on the life of iconic actor Jimmy Stewart, the film explores his journey from winning the Oscar for Best Actor in The Philadelphia Story to his enlistment and commission as a fighter pilot and commander in the U.S. Army at the start of World War II. Stewart flew 20 missions over Europe, rising to the rank of colonel, only to return home broken and discouraged. And then George Bailey came calling.
