Director Cheon-soo has traveled from Seoul to Suwon for a modest festival screening of his latest film. Due to an organizational error, he has a day to explore the local attractions and visit the old Hwaseong site, where he meets the sweet and shy painter Hee-jeong. She recognizes his name, but admits that she has never seen a film by him. The two spontaneously spend the day together, swapping life stories and creative philosophies about coffee and sushi before attending a party hosted by Hee-jeong's poet friend Yeong-sil.
