Since 2014, Restorative Justice in France has offered victims and perpetrators of crime the opportunity to engage in dialogue through secure facilities, guided by professionals and volunteers such as Judith, Fanny or Michel. Nassim, Issa and Thomas, convicted of robbery with violence, Gregoire, Nawelle and Sabine, victims of home jacking, robbery and purse snatching, but also Chloe, victim of incestuous rape, are involved in recovery measures. On their journey there is anger and hope, silence and words, connection and heartbreak, awareness and regained confidence. And at the end of the road, sometimes, satisfaction.

This film about attempts to bring perpetrators and victims of violent crimes closer together in a therapeutic manner looks like a documentary. It produces interesting characters, but the unreal whole did not really interest me. Seems like a parade of who's who in contemporary French cinema.

A film about restorative justice, in which both criminals and victims enter into conversation in the hope of getting to know the other 'party' better and thus being able to process their own experiences better. It started out rather general and corny, this is mainly a talk film. But after a while the dialogues do take on an important role and the film really comes into its own. It doesn't become great, mainly an interesting film. The cast does quite well and so you get a moving gem, although that is more due to the subject than the cinematography.
