Jägarna plot
Former detective Erik Bäckström lives in a villa in the woods and has isolated himself for several years with only his dog named Bella. One day, he decides to help a miner who is being terrorized by overzealous environmental protesters. However, before he knows it, he is up to his neck in misery.

Great series. With that typical Scandinavian signature; a nice no-nonsense (forest) atmosphere, good plot and acting and appealing characters to annoy you (in a positive sense) or to empathize like with Lassgård.
Especially the last episode. Few ingredients (a few people in a remote forest) and that's exactly why it's tight, if well executed as in this case.
PS Apparently NPO always broadcast two episodes in a row.

I found this series (season 1) slightly better than the two feature films (1996 and 2011) that preceded it. I'm used to the fact that the lock is a little less elaborate than the rest, so I'm not surprised anymore. The plot is pretty well put together. A minus is the series of setbacks that Erik experiences. That's just a bit too much of a good thing, but necessary if you have to fill 4.5 hours. The cast itself is good. Besides Erik, the actors for Tord and Karl were good choices. Great Scandinavian series!
