Saw Christian Petzold's "Die Innere Sicherheit" earlier this month, another movie in which a teenager suffers from a strict outward-looking parent's attitude.

However, "Infancia Clandestina", based on true events, is much more gripping than Petzold's film, not only because of the idealistic struggle for freedoms in a tumultuous country, but above all because of the moving experience of a child who is brutally slowed down by circumstances in a period when life as a young person blossoms for him.

A handsome film, with neat photography and camera work, well staged, with sometimes lively, sometimes sad music and singing, convincing acting and occasionally charming moments, such as the chocolate peanut theory, through the seriousness of the event.

The cartoon work surprised at first, but actually "from the life of a child", so quite justified.

Semi-autobiographical film about a boy who has to go into hiding with his parents during the military regime of Videla in Argentina in the late 1970s. Precisely during that period, he falls in love with a classmate.

The film is dedicated to the mother of director Benjamin Ávila, who disappeared without a trace in October 1979, just like many thousands of others. The film leaves you with an oppressed feeling.
