"The journey from motif to motif"

In an old Hamburg building, mother Gertrud, daughter Maria and grandmother Emmi live together on a not-too-confidential basis. Maria finances the household as a marriage swindler, seeking out wealthy men through personal ads and entering into a relationship with them. Afterwards, she successfully stages a suicide attempt and the men quickly pull out their wallets to convince her not to do it. But a number of men suspect malicious intent and they try to expose the devilish trio. But this could have potentially fatal consequences...
