Il Vuoto plot

Barbara, a young and beautiful interpreter who works for the United Nations in New York, falls in love with Andrea, a handsome nuclear energy expert, who is staying in the US for a conference. Their passionate relationship is complicated by their work, which often keeps them apart. But just when Barbara realizes he's the man she's always wanted, she discovers he's married. However, she doesn't have the courage to leave him and can't break free from a life of long-distance phone calls and brief encounters that leave her heart empty.
