Il Fuggiasco plot
As a student, he took part in demonstrations of which the police have photos. They break him up when he reports as a witness to a murder. In the aftermath of the consternation over the liquidation of Aldo Moro by the Red Brigades, the police would rather lose a politically engaged student than get rich. The murder he comes to report is blamed on him.
