Reporter Lorelei Kilbourne is assigned to the police department, where her newspaper "The Illustrated Press" is investigating. Editor Steve Wilson has his doubts about Police Chief Tom Blake's integrity, while Lorelei does trust him. However, when she and Steve find a body and they help the police solve the case, all kinds of dark matters come to light.
