Hyoheki plot

Uozo and his friend Kosaku are two office workers who plan to climb a mountain. However, just before they leave, Kosaku confesses that he has had an affair with a married woman. He is madly in love, but the woman dumped him. Then disaster strikes: Kosaku is killed on the ascent. Was it an accident or did something else happen?
