It all starts when grandmother Doña Genoveva decides to buy a car. She doesn't have a driver's license, but her gardener Pedro lends her a hand with driving lessons. The two spend a lot of time together and this is discussed extensively in the small village. This much to the dismay of Genoveva's daughter Rosa. She is divorced and therefore tries extra hard to comply with social conventions. Until the married macho Victor starts making advances and takes her sexual feelings out of hibernation. Granddaughter Blanca hangs out in the street with her friends. Their only amusement is an occasional ride in one of the boys' pickup truck.
